Bob nerveously excited jumped up and down, crisscross, down and up, every which way. I took him by the hands and we counted down from ten, we hugged and we tradinionally – no we didn’t! Kissing an ape doesn’t conform to my idea of a perfect new year’s beginning. If I want to taste banana flavour, I am using my lip balm.So Bob and I just laughed and marveled at life’s wonders. We danced the night away. And what a night was that! There was a feverish restlessness in the wind.
And then in this hubbub, suddenly I hesitated, I lingered and found myself in another world, where everything was calmer, more atmospheric and meditative, when I realised, that I welcomed a new level without seeing off the old one. Right, new year, new game. But how mastering all challenges without looking back at the past? New levels, adventures, challenges, enemies as well as companions are awaiting me. And this was my chance to learn from mistakes, improve my tactics and figure out what the root of this unique feeling is, that makes me celebrating the end of the last and the beginning of the next level.
I looked at unmindful feting Bob and all at once I was sad, we didn’t take a single minute for reflection. I thought about the last year, the challenges I passed, my PvP quests on land, pirate combats on the high seas, flying mounts, sneaky pets, business affairs, boss fights and naturally I had to ponder on my arcade-style real life in workaday-, private- and family-mode. Stereoptyped I laughed and cried. And then I jumped up and down, crisscross, down and up and I was happy to have the possibility to jump, fly or go every which way.
Eventually I kissed Bob and being in philosophical-life-is-precious-mood I asked him: “I wondered why we don’t see each day as a new chance. Wouldn’t it be better to celebrate every single day and not only the first one of the year?” Subsequently Bob looked me in the eye, paused for a moment and then took my hand to trip the light fantastic. And that is exactly why we don’t celebrate each day like that: More than five days later I’m still heavy-legged and what did I learn from my reflective trip? Kissing an ape is a hairy affair.
Last but not least BOB’s special tip: You can look up all of my apish adventures here on MMORPG-BOB.COM. And never forget: A banana a day, keeps soleness away, for the girls don’t baste, cos they love this taste. Yummy!
